Below are answers to the questions we are most often asked. If you still cannot find the information you need, please contact us by email at info@esf-morzine.com or telephone us on + 33 (0) 4.50.79.13.13
I don't know the ski area...which lift pass do I need for ESF Morzine lessons?
how do I book my lessons?
- you have two options for advance bookings and we strongly recommend both of them!
- 1- online: for group lessons only (lift passes not included)
- 2- by post: for group lessons + lift passes, Piou Piou Club, private lessons and longer sessions
are bookings valid before payment is taken?
- NO, because we cannot send your lesson cards without payment
can I book by email or telephone?
are online sales secure? I am afraid of sending my bank card details over the internet...
- your bank details are processed via La Banque Populaire's secure online payments system. This is the ESF's official banker and you can trust them – as we do!

when will payment leave my account?
- the day you make your online reservation, or for postal bookings, the day your lesson card is created
how can I pay at ESF Morzine?
- with a bank card,
- cheque
- or banker's draft in €uros
- or chèques vacances (sent by recorded delivery).
- Cash payments may be made in person at ESF Morzine
should I collect my lesson cards from ESF Morzine?
- we will send your lesson cards to your home address (excluding lift pass "packages") time permitting.
Written confirmation will also be sent to you with details of your booking
if I have an accident or fall sick will the ESF refund my booking?
- if your lessons have already begun the ESF will not make a refund. We advise you to take out insurance against this eventuality. Companies such as Snowrisk will look after you in case of an accident and refund unattended lesson costs and unused lift passes.

what's the ESF Piou Piou Club?
- It's a friendly club for 3 to 14-year-olds. Staff involve them in playtime activities suitable for indoors or outdoors according to the weather outside ESF lesson times.
Children can have lunch at the club.
Lessons take place in the kids' snow garden reserved exclusively for ESF Morzine

- Can I have a refund for my lessons even though I can no longer come to Morzine?
- YES, depending on circumstances

will my child be able to complete a whole day's lessons? (morning + afternoon)
- it all depends on how strong they are and whether they are used to playing sport. Please remember that Morzine is at altitude and winters can be cold here.
Above all think of your child's daily energy levels. They are on holiday and the overall aim is to enjoy themselves and get an introduction to winter sports. Becoming a champion isn't the overriding aim!
can I have a refund if during the week either my child or I decide we don't like our lessons??
- NO
- If you are unsure about being capable or keen enough to do a week-long ESF class you could book an introductory lesson on the Sunday or Monday (according to availability)
will there be enough snow when I come?
- normally yes. The ski area is armed with a formidable number of snow-making machines and ESF Morzine will take students to Avoriaz in the very unlikely event that the Pleney area is closed.
For further information please do not hesitate to ask our front desk team
the weather forecast isn't good (snow, rain)...will my lessons still take place?
- you decide… but your instructor will be waiting for you at your agreed rendezvous point.
Bring goggles for better visibility and clothing suitable for the conditions. There will be no refunds or postponement of lessons
is ski/snowboard equipment provided?
- NO
- You should arrive for your lesson with your equipment (skis, poles and boots). Sports shops in the village are excellent. You can also reserve your equipment in advance!
do I have to use the ski lifts and are they free?
- ESF Morzine lessons take place in the Morzine/Les Gets ski area unless otherwise stated. All students aged 5 years and over must have the area's 6-day lift pass to take part in lessons.
- Lift passes are not included in ESF Morzine prices (except where marked as “"packages"”). We advise you to pre-book your lift pass!

what's the best way to reach my ESF rendezvous point from my hotel/chalet/apartment?
- Morzine has numerous shuttles as well as the holiday train, all of which are free. There is a bus-stop at the foot of the Pleney cable car. These will help you to easily reach the meeting point indicated on your lesson card.
